Singapore Airlines' (SIA first five Airbus A380s featuring the airline's
new cabin product were due to enter service in December. The
new A380 cabin which is the result of four years of research and
a US$850 million investment is featured on five new A380s with
retrofit work to start on the 14 existing A380s in the SIA fleet --- which
first entered service from 2007 to late 2018.
The new configuration carries up to 471 customers in a four-class
layout --- six Suites 78 Business Class seats 44 Premium Economy
Class seats and 343 Economy Class seats. SIA's A380s currently
feature two di erent configurations --- 379 seats and 441 seats. The
airline has increased the overall seat count with the reduction of
Suites by half. SIA says the new cabin provides more space and
privacy in all classes.
Suites is now located at the front cabin of the upper deck and
delivers "a sense of exclusivity and intimate privacy" with "a personal
oasis" behind artistically-designed sliding doors according to SIA.

recline and leather chair. For couples travelling together the beds in
the first two Suites of each aisle can be converted into a double bed.
